Making Hangers

Making little doll hangers is fairly easy -- and fun!

You can find patterns and tutorials online.
I made these simply by wrapping the wire around a thick pen
to form the shape of the 'hanging' part.
{You can finish off the end of the hanger by making a little twist
with the needle-nosed pliers as you start. SEE PHOTO}
Then I shape the hanger by hand.
Hangers just need to be a good size for the little clothing you will hang on them.
Once I had a hanger I liked -- that became my pattern.
Finish by wrapping the wire around the 'neck' of the hanger and cut with wire cutters.

Supplies:
Needle-nose pliers
Small cylinder shape item {think -- thick pen or marker}
for forming 'hanging' part of hanger --
Wire {for jewelry}
I use a 14 gauge jewelry wire --
This wire is on the soft side.
If you are making the hangers for children
{or it the hangers will get a lot of use}
you might want to work with a sturdier wire.
